The Tax Manager is responsible for managing client assignments and projects and delivering a high-quality service. This includes coaching, advising and supporting team members in meeting client and self-development expectations. Your expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting will be essential in ensuring our clients’ tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Ensure assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved.
Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax strategies that minimize their tax liabilities while maximizing their financial goals. Provide guidance on tax implications related to business transactions, investments, and estate planning.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor on tax matters. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients’ tax-related inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses.
Manages the assignment budget and profitability in their area of responsibility in partnership with the firm administrator. Anticipates and communicates budget issues, identifies opportunities to improve assignment profitability and prepares billings and assists in collections.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. Review their work to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Successfully builds, directs and maintains a motivated and empowered work team in partnership with the firm administrator. Advises, coaches and supports team members including providing consistent recognition and encouragement to team members to increase retention and utilization.
Stay up to date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks for clients.
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of tax deliverables. Perform regular reviews of tax workpapers, calculations, and documentation.
Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement best practices to streamline tax operations.
Collaborate with partners and other team members to identify and pursue opportunities for expanding client engagements. Participate in business development activities, such as proposal preparation and client presentations.
Identifies client needs/opportunities to sell additional value added services.
Works in consultation with the team lead to anticipate project issues, assesses alternatives and takes appropriate measure to resolve assignment issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is strongly preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, preferably in a professional services firm or virtual CAS practice.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Experience with international tax is a plus.
Proficiency in tax software and technology tools, including tax preparation software, research databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
Strong client relationship skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and team members.

Proven leadership abilities, including experience in managing and developing a team of tax professionals.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a virtual environment, utilizing remote collaboration tools and technologies.
We are looking for a Lien Negotiator whose primary function will be to negotiate post-settlement liens, including health
insurance liens, hospital liens, private medical provider liens, and state and federal medical provider liens. They will also
be responsible for finalizing the case and providing clients with the best recovery possible and exhibit a high level of
efficiency and proficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regularly keeping clients informed
Providing status updates to providers
Drafting reduction letters
Obtaining final medical balances at settlement
Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills
Communicate with Medi-cal and Medicare
QUALIFICATIONS
